Scholarship Fund Details

The IEDTA is committed to creating a conference community that reflects racial, social, and economic diversity in our attendee population.

Thanks to a generous contribution from an anonymous donor, the IEDTA has established a $20,000 Diversity Scholarship Fund (DSF) specifically to support historically under-resourced and marginalized mental health practitioners attending the 2024 conference in San Diego, CA. We encourage IEDTA members as well as non-members who have a special interest in EDTs to apply. Although this fund primarily assists individuals from historically under-resourced groups, the DSF will designate a limited amount of funding for white-bodied practitioners who work in communities of color and whose practice is centered on community mental health issues for racially and economically diverse populations.

Mental health providers in need of financial assistance to attend the 2024 conference who do not meet criteria for the Diversity Scholarship Fund may apply to the IEDTA General Scholarship Fund. Limited funding is available. The general scholarship fund provides support for the conference registration fee. It does not provide support for travel or accommodation.

Individuals applying to either scholarship fund will be asked to provide a CV, a statement of interest in the conference and a description of personal experience with or interest in EDTs. Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2024. Recipients will receive notice by July 15, 2024.

The IEDTA and its psychotherapist members are dedicated to the practice, research, and dissemination of Experiential Dynamic Therapies (EDTs).
